new install and child site gives blank pages

Hi,

Just installed wcp on my site, it will be going live in the next two weeks. However the install went fine and created my child site and i have checked via ftp to verify.

problem is when i try to access my child site it is giving blank pages.

eg. www.domainname.com/child/administrator

does anyone have any clues why this would happen, i really need to have this running.
