Article text alignment issue

New postby [email protected] » Tue Feb 01, 2011 4:10 am

I'm using Jumi plug-in to place user name, date, title etc. in an article. It works great with the exception of centering text. No matter how I try to center the text (div style, <center>, custom class), it will not center my text. Has anyone else had this problem?

code in my php file:
Code: Select all

<?php

defined('_JEXEC') or die( "Direct Access Is Not Allowed" );
?>
<div style="position:relative; top:20%; width:100%; height:100%; font-family:'Monotype Corsiva', 'Lucida Handwriting'; font-weight:bolder">
<div style="position:static; width:100%; z-index:1">
<img src="http://pnltfa.com/images/pnltfa_cert.jpg" width="100%" />
</div>

<?php

echo '<div style="position:absolute; bottom:45%; z-index:3; font-size:20px"><p class="certCentered">'.$jumi[0].'</p></div>';
$user =& JFactory::getUser();

if (!$user->guest) {

echo '<div style="position:absolute; left:30%; bottom:40%; z-index:3; font-size:20px"><p>' . $user->name . '</p></div>';

}
echo '<div style="position:absolute; left:30%; bottom:35%; z-index:3; font-size:20px"><p>'.$jumi[1].'</p></div>';
echo '<div style="position:absolute; left:30%; bottom:30%; z-index:3; font-size:20px"><p>'.$jumi[2].'</p></div>';
echo '<div style="position:absolute; left:15%; bottom:16%; z-index:3"><p>'.$jumi[3].'</p></div>';
?>

</div>

Thanks,
Mick
