Strict Standards Error messages

Just Upgraded to Joomla 3. Currently installing Jumi 3.0 and am getting Strict Standards error message. For example; 'Only variables should be assigned by reference in' /home/Testdirectory1/public_html/joomla/plugins/system/jumi/jumi.php on line 25.

Can anyone provide some guidance as to how to correct this error?

I just upgraded to Joomla 3.4.0. In other 3.x versions Jumi was working fine.

Now I am having similar error messages that dphillips21 reported. The error log appears in the administrator folder. The errors repeat every few seconds. Here is a sample:

You have been at Version 3.0.4 forEVER now... issues that have been brought up then solved by US as users and fellow developers have not been acknowledged or addressed and added to an updated version of jumi.
