Are you able to enable Joomla FTP layer?

You need to give joomla a FTP account details in the Global configuration, so it will use the FTP to transfer files to your server, that will solve your issues and you will be able to install any extension.

It means that you didn't provide correct access details. Ask your hosting provider to clarify correct access details such as host and port and ftp root path.
