Jumi not working in custom html module

New postby IanJ » Fri Jul 01, 2011 9:01 pm

Hi,

I have Jumi working in it's most basic form i.e. embedded in my custom html page in Joomla , i.e.

Code: Select all
{jumi [Jcomm] [61]}

The file Jcomm:-
Code: Select all
<?php
  $comments = JPATH_SITE . DS .'components' . DS . 'com_jcomments' . DS . 'jcomments.php';
  if (file_exists($comments)) {
    require_once($comments);
    $count = JComments::getCommentsCount($jumi[0], 'com_content');
    echo $count ? ('Comments = '. $count . '') : 'Comments = 0';
  }
?>

However, sick of modifying my site's front page by modifying the html directly, I created a custom module called mod_FrontPage in Joomla and now have a series of text boxes to modify my page. I just open the module in Joomla back end and can simply edit the text boxes contain just the flat text, the custom html is hidden behind the scenes.

However, when I now try to use {jumi [Jcomm] [61]} it prints out at {jumi [Jcomm] [61]} rather than for instance Comments = 14

Here's a screenshot, the top part shows the old method working fine.....the bottom showing the problem:

Any ideas?
